Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1. Introduction
MCP Public is an open, community-contributed directory of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and providers. This Privacy Policy is maintained by the MCP Public team and explains what information we collect when you use the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using MCP Public you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Information we collect
- Account data. When you sign in with a third-party provider (Google or Apple), we receive your name, email address, and avatar image from that provider.
- User-submitted content. MCP or provider submissions, comments, reviews, ratings, and any other content you voluntarily post.
- Technical data. Basic request logs including IP address, user agent, and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.
3. How we use information
- Operate and maintain the directory.
- Display attribution (name/avatar) on your submissions, comments, and reviews.
- Moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Communicate service-related notices when necessary.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not run advertising networks.
4. Third-party services
MCP Public relies on third-party providers to operate. These subprocessors may process limited data on our behalf:
- Authentication via Google and Apple sign-in.
- Hosting, database, and backend services via our cloud infrastructure provider.
Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. MCP Public does not control and is not responsible for the practices of third-party MCP servers listed in the directory — see our Terms of Service for details.
5. Cookies
We use a session cookie strictly to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
6. Data retention & deletion
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address below. Submissions that have become part of the public catalog may remain in an anonymized or aggregated form after account deletion.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.
8. Children
MCP Public is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
