Terms of Service

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using MCP Public (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the service

MCP Public is an open, community-contributed directory of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and providers. Listings are informational and are contributed by users and third parties. MCP Public does not own, operate, host, verify, or endorse the third-party MCP servers or providers listed on the site.

3. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Do not impersonate another person or entity, and do not create accounts through automated means.

4. User-submitted content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. By submitting content (listings, comments, reviews, ratings, or other material), you grant MCP Public a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Service.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights. MCP Public may remove, edit, or refuse any submission at its sole discretion.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post illegal, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content.
  • Submit spam, malware, phishing links, or malicious MCP server endpoints.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
  • Scrape the Service beyond publicly documented endpoints or rate limits.

6. Third-party MCP servers — important disclaimer

Listings on MCP Public are provided for informational purposes only. MCP Public does not verify the security, availability, correctness, data-handling practices, legal compliance, or ownership of any third-party MCP server or provider listed.

Connecting to, installing, or interacting with any listed MCP server is done entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for reviewing the terms, privacy policies, and security posture of any third-party server before using it.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL LISTINGS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, UPTIME, OR THAT ANY LISTED MCP SERVER WILL FUNCTION AS DESCRIBED OR BE SAFE TO USE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MCP PUBLIC, ITS OPERATORS, MAINTAINERS, AND CONTRIBUTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR (B) YOUR USE OF, RELIANCE ON, OR INTERACTIONS WITH ANY THIRD-PARTY MCP SERVER OR PROVIDER LISTED ON THE SERVICE.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCP Public and its contributors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your submissions, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Intellectual property

The MCP Public name, logo, and site design are owned by MCP Public. Third-party names, logos, and trademarks referenced in listings remain the property of their respective owners and appear solely for identification purposes.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or created risk to the Service or other users.

12. Paid subscriptions and billing

MCP Public offers optional paid subscription plans (e.g. Pro, Team) described on the pricing page. By purchasing a subscription you agree to the plan price, billing interval (monthly or yearly), and the following terms:

  • Payment processor. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy. MCP Public does not store your full card details.
  • Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price for your plan until canceled. You authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal date.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account's billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.
  • Price and plan changes. We may change plan pricing or features with reasonable notice (typically by email and/or an in-app notice). Changes apply on the next renewal after the notice period.
  • Taxes. Where applicable, sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and collected at checkout based on your billing location. Displayed prices are exclusive of tax unless stated otherwise.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry per its standard dunning schedule. If all retries fail, the subscription will be downgraded or canceled and paid features will be revoked.
  • Refunds. Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
