Refund Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

1. Scope

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions to MCP Public (the "Service") purchased through our checkout, including Pro and Team plans on the pricing page. It supplements our Terms of Service.

2. 14-day refund window (first purchase)

If you are unhappy with your first paid subscription to MCP Public, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase date. To qualify:

  • The request must be for the first subscription ever purchased on your account.
  • The request must be received within 14 calendar days of the initial charge.
  • The account must not show signs of abuse (e.g. bulk submissions, spam).

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.

3. Renewals and subsequent billing periods

Subscriptions renew automatically. Renewal charges (monthly or yearly) are non-refundable once processed. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel your subscription before the renewal date from the billing portal.

As a courtesy, we may issue a prorated refund for a renewal charged within the last 72 hours if you had not used the Service during the new billing period. This is granted at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account's billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the current paid period. We do not provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of the current period, except as described in Section 3.

5. Non-refundable items

  • Renewal charges outside the courtesy window in Section 3.
  • Accounts terminated for violation of the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use.
  • Partial months or partial years of usage.
  • Taxes already remitted to a tax authority, where non-recoverable.

6. Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us before initiating a chargeback — we can usually resolve issues faster directly. Accounts with an open or successful chargeback may be suspended pending review.

7. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry per its standard schedule. If all retries fail, the subscription is downgraded or canceled and paid features are revoked. No refund is owed in this case as no successful charge occurred.

8. Taxes

Where sales tax, VAT, or GST was collected at checkout, refunded transactions include the corresponding tax portion when Stripe is able to reverse the tax remittance. In jurisdictions where tax has already been remitted and cannot be recovered, the refund may exclude that portion.

9. How to request a refund

Email support@mcp-public.com from the email address on your account and include:

  • The account email.
  • The charge date and amount (or Stripe receipt link).
  • A brief reason for the request.

We aim to respond within 3 business days.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
